Roslyn Forman

Admin

BA (Hons) Dance, Personal Trainer, Pilates Instructor

Also hailing from the UK, Roslyn grew up dancing in the North of England, before moving to London to complete a Diploma of Performing Arts at Arts Educational, and a BA in Dance at the University of Roehampton. It was after undergoing extensive spinal surgery that Roslyn realised the importance of Pilates, exercise and strength training – for everyday life as well as to supplement dance technique. She became a certified Personal Trainer, Group Exercise and Barre instructor whilst working for the Royal Academy of Dance, using her background & experience to train a variety of clients, including many dance students and professional dancers.

Roslyn moved to Sydney in 2017, where she continued to expand her knowledge in strength training and exercise rehab. She worked as the Practice Manager for a Dance Physiotherapy Clinic, whilst teaching classes and doing Personal Training on the side. It was during this time that Roslyn completed her Pilates Certification with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute.

Ros has been working behind the scenes for Strength4Dance since 2018, managing the administration, social media and assisting with the workshops and masterclasses.

Roslyn danced throughout school and university, performing regularly at the local theatres and completing her exams in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz. Since becoming a Personal Trainer, she has explored a variety of fitness disciplines, including Powerlifting, Olympic Lifting and Calisthenics. She is currently training in Aerial Silks and Flying Trapeze, combining strength work with a bit of artistic flair!

When she’s not at the gym- or up in the air- you’ll find Ros playing on the beach with Freddie the German Shepherd and her new baby boy.
